Hi, I’m Yulia Ozlem, and I’d love to share how Soup Chick came to life. It all began in the vibrant farmers’ markets across the United States—my playground for discovering the soul of regional cuisine and the freshest ingredients.

Navigating healthy eating while on the road can be quite a feat. But we, as a family, stumbled upon a delightful strategy: the power of a good soup. This became our staple, packing in nutrients and comforting our stomachs after a day of culinary exploration. Every market in every town, with spices and herbs I’d never seen, showed me that soup could be this fantastic bridge between health and

yum. As a mother, I found soups to be my culinary superpower. They allowed me to blend vegetables and essential nutrients into our diet in a healthful and appealing way. Watching my family savor each spoonful was a joy, knowing they were being nurtured with every bite. With my background in Hospitality Management, specializing in Restaurant and Food Service, I was armed with the knowledge and drive to make these nutritious, vegetable-packed meals a reality. My family’s travels to various countries enriched this vision, as every local market and exotic ingredient we encountered wove itself into my repertoire of soups.

I also completed a Plant Based Cooking course with Rouxbe Online Cooking School, where I learned how to make soups with plant-based ingredients that are good for you and the planet. I discovered how to use plant-based milks, creams, cheeses, and stocks to create creamy, hearty, and satisfying soups that are dairy-free and vegan-friendly. I also learned how to use herbs, spices, and aromatics to enhance the flavor and aroma of my soups, as well as how to balance the texture, color, and presentation of my dishes. Back home, all these experiences simmered together to create Soup Chick. This project isn’t just a collection of recipes; it’s a tapestry of the experiences, connections, and warmth that food can bring to our tables.


I’m excited to share each flavorful soup infused with stories worldwide. So, let’s embark on this tasty journey with Soup Chick, where every spoonful is a story and a nourishing embrace.
